Meet our new Pastor
WELCOME TO OUR NEW PASTOR: REV. FORREST CUMMINGS
“I am honored to be appointed to Mt. Wesley United Methodist Church. This is the first Church I attended when I moved here.” These were some of the first words shared by Rev. Forrest Cummings (who prefers to be called Pastor Forrest) when asked how he felt about the new changes. Pastor Forrest’s daughter Alexis is the mother to his first granddaughter Hannah who is 3 months old.
Pastor Forrest is a graduate of Duke Divinity School in Durham, N.C. He completed his PHD from West Virginia University. He was ordained in 1978 by Bishop Wertz at the West Virginia Annual Conference. He retired in 2009 from Lincoln County schools and in 2010 from the West Virginia United Methodist Conference. He has served the past eleven years at Butler’s Chapel United Methodist Church, Martinsburg, WV.
